Dominique Browning is My Hero

I wasn’t planning a second post for today, but when I read Dominique Browning’s article in yesterday’s Times, I couldn’t help myself. I have to share it. As someone who’s been “post-employment” twice in the last year due to magazines folding and the crash of the publishing world in general, I could more than relate to the former House & Garden editor in chief’s words; I could feel them. The piece is actually an excerpt from Browning’s forthcoming book, “Slow Love: How I Lost My Job, Put on My Pajamas and Found Happiness,” due out in April. And if you like that, check out her homage to her grandparents’ Kentucky farm in the February/March 09 issue of Garden & Gun.
