Brooklyn Flea Stays in Fort Greene

This is the last weekend Brooklyn Flea will remain indoors on both Saturday and Sunday, but there is good news for rain-shy shoppers. Though Brooklyn Flea was scheduled to vacate its winter home inside the landmark Williamsburg Savings Bank at Skylight One Hanson last weekend, the market is, in fact, keeping their indoor operation open part-time. The Flea will return to its homebase at the Bishop Loughlin High School on Saturdays, starting April 10. On Sundays, however, vendors will be making bank at the bank.

No self-respecting southerner should miss this flea market/antiques-hunting experience in New York. I found this great watercolor painting below last year for just $20! It’s an equal mix of trash and treasure, which in the end, is exactly what you want from a flea market anyway, right?

The painting we picked up at Brooklyn Flea for a song.
