Remembering Hunter S. Thompson

From the book Gonzo.

On this date in 2005, Kentucky-born Gonzo godfather Hunter S. Thompson died. As we remember all of the past and present Presidents who have made this country the good, bad, beautiful nation we call home, we should also take a moment to remember the writers, poets, artists, artisans, tradesmen, service men and women, and ordinary civilians outside the Beltway who have contributed to America’s greatness along the way, as well.
