Kudos to Virginia-born writer, Belle Boggs, who is one of the Daily Beast’s featured Best New Writers today.
Not only is David Chang the “My Stuff” guy in this month’s issue of Vanity Fair, but Má Pêche, the latest addition to his Momofuku mini-empire, is expected to begin serving lunch at 12:30pm today in the Chambers Hotel. I interviewed the Virginia native at the end of December and loved listening to him rant and rave about the f***ing disrespect paid to southern farmers, and southern food in general. I don’t think I’ve ever cussing enjoyed being cussed out more. Look out for that interview in the next week or so.
According to Town & Country (via my friend Blair), Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley, the chic duo behind Kirna Zabête, met as sorority sisters at the University of Virginia. If you haven’t visited the SoHo fashion emporium, which features the latest collections from a thoroughly researched roster of emerging and established designers–think Zac Posen, Elise Overland, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu and more–you’re missing out on the perfect Derby/tailgate/cocktail party dress.
Easley and Buccini are also featured in the March issue of Vogue (page 368), where they weigh in on how two pairs of shoes (rather than two outfits) can simplify day-to-night dressing.
