I took a brief trip upstate to Hudson, New York this weekend and fell in love with everything about it: the quiet streets, the cabin chic decor of our accommodations at the charming Union Street Guest House (images below), the art and antique shops, the stellar restaurants run by Hyde Park alums, and most importantly, the mental and physical distance between Hudson and Gotham. I found the above book in a bibliophile’s paradise on Warren Street; given the extreme cold temps we’ve been enslaved by lately, I thought it offered a vicarious summertime thrill.
